I have a strange problems and I don't find any solutions. I hope someone could help me!
When I want to connect to a server by rdp using the Computer name, it failed always! But if I use the IP address, it works!
I have the problem only when I want to connect to a Windows 2008 R2! I have no problems with Windows 2003 and windows 2008 Std SP2.
I have also the problem only from a computer with Win7. No problems from a computer in Win XP!
I tried to use the FQDN name; but still the problem.
The problem is only on site with RODC as domain controller. This RODC is recently installed because I'm migrating AD servers from Win2003 to Win2008 (2 RWDC on main site and 1 RODC on a distant site).
I checked DNS and replication but everything seems ok. Ping, nslookup are ok also.
The version of Remote Desktop Connection is 6.1.7601.
Do you have an idea what’s wrong? Or where to check?...
