Hi,
I'm trying to optimize our RD Servers and the end user experience by adjusting some settings. Here is how our RD Servers are setup;
1 - Host Session Server (main RD Server) - Server 2008 R2 Enterprise
2 - RD Gateway Server - Server 2008 R2 Enterprise
These 2 servers are used to support users internally (from the local network) and externally (from internet). I would like to do some "fine tunning" on my servers TCP-RDP connection settings that if a user tries to connect to the RD Session Host server through our RD Gateway server from an external source (internet) the connection settings must be minimal in order to save bandwith and frustration.. Let's say audio disabled, 16bit color, etc...
And if the user is on the local network that the connection settings could be set to highest color with audio support, drive redirection, etc... As the local network will be fast enough to support these settings.
I would like to set these settings on the server side because the idea is to have only 1 RDP file to deploy and depending the source of the clients, whether it's local or internet, server decides what connection settings will clients get.
Do i have to add another NIC on my Session Host Server? Do I have to set these settings on my Gateway Server or RD Session Host server?
Thanks in advance.
