Ok so I purchased 25 "Device" CALS and installed both license codes... The Microsoft Genuine sheet says "DEVICE CALS 25 (1x20)/(1x5)" and there are two install codes.... My terminal server is operating on a Windows 2003 Enterprise Server and is both the terminal server and the licensing server. The setup is also set in "Device Mode" and I even checked the registry...
For some odd reason it installed 25 Retail "User Cals" but I need "Device Cals".... I've tried calling the activation center there in India and they are getting better to understand but they tell me I have to call my retailer which is not easy in itself... Anyone out there have any ideas on what the heck I can do??? Did perhaps they put "Per User" stickers on a "Per Device" license sheet??? Or am I doing something wrong... I've already deactivated the the terminal server and re-installed the CALS through the clearing house and the same results.....
